Trek the Thompson is a FREE family-friendly event to celebrate the Big Thompson River. The event helps to educate participants of all the River brings to our communities. We will be exploring the role of the River as important habitat for wildlife, a recreation area, and a source for clean drinking water, among many others. The festival features a variety of activities including hands-on activities for all ages at education stations, a poker “walk” for a chance to win local prizes, an easy, flat, 3-mile trek along the Big Thompson River, live music, a silent auction, and food.

Heart Medicine will take the stage at noon, but come early and check out Creekbed (coyote-folk and cedar smoke).

Every dollar raised through Trek the Thompson will go directly to Big Thompson Watershed Coalition’s efforts to enhance the health and vitality of the watershed and help recover from events like Cameron Peak Fire
