We have some big and bittersweet news to share with you. Our good friend and bassist, Chad, has accepted an awesome opportunity to go work in beautiful Kauai, Hawaii, and will be moving there in the next month.
While we’re extremely happy for the professional and personal excitement for Chad, we can’t help but also feel sad about our founding bassist, incredible musician, and very dear friend (that’s spanned decades for Amy) soon being an ocean away.
First and foremost, while we’re closing an important chapter of Amy and the Peace Pipes, our band’s story is far from over! We’ve been in touch with some amazing musicians (and if you know anyone who would be a great fit, please have them get in touch with us). We are looking forward to sharing the news about our newest Peace Pipe soon.
Enough about tomorrow, today we want to celebrate and honor Chad, and would love for you to join us!
Our good friends at Maxline Brewing is hosting a band going-away party for Chad, next Saturday, January 18 at 7pm. Come join us for this free and all-ages party. Amy and the Peace Pipes will kick things off right at 7pm, with the talented KiTy Project performing an acoustic set for the rest of the evening. Join us for what’s sure to be a memorable last show with this lineup, come give Chad a big hug, and find out about your new place to stay when you visit Hawaii! 😉
